Hi, I hope each of you had a great holiday time and the New Year is starting out with a good jolt. Those of you that did not clean out your closet prior to the first have the first 6 weeks of this year to get it done. I know that many of you have contacted me about things falling in these first few weeks, but pick it up and get it done for a better 2008. We are trying something new for the prophecy and it is being posted so you can down load it and actually hear Ethan’s words of wisdom. Hope you enjoy this and if so we will possibly do some more in the future.  Let us know how you like it. The best of 2008 and know it is a new beginning, so get off to a good start.

Well Hello, I know it has been a long time since I updated this site.  I broke my ankle in June and that sidelined me for two months, and finally I am feeling like my old feisty self.  So Here I Am. Ethan’s message really hits home for me. One of my very favorite people is going through one of the worst times, and other people seem to feel they have the right to make decisions that are not thief’s to make. I totally understand the value of life, but I also believe in the quality of life that we each deserve.

While I was hospitalized in (I will fictionalize the name) St Purgatory’s, decisions to change medications and doctors were made without my consent. Of course, those of you who know me know that was a bad choice for them. I have a much respected general physician and a cardiac specialist I would walk through fire for.  St Purgatory’s decided that their heart specialist was just as good as mine.  Now, I do not doubt the talents of their doctors, but I have a personal relationship with mine.  I believe that half or more of the healing comes from not their skill, but my faith and trust.  I had two very good friends with me who fought for my right to refuse incorrect medication and treatment.  It is really a shame that when we are most vulnerable and depending on the professional skills of others, we can not depend on their doing the right things.  My heart specialist said I should always have an advocate with me who understood my medications and physical needs.  They refused to contact my doctor in Deer Lodge who had faxed them my records. They also ignored the records. I choose to go back to Deer Lodge for Rehab and I felt like I had come home when I arrived. It was good to feel safe again.

I am sure all of you have medical horror stories to bring to the page and I have total empathy for you.  We have allowed certain professions to become like Gods and never to question their actions. I always question and want to know WHY.  Be a three year old when visiting the doctor and ask why constantly.  Take an observer with you to hear what you do not and ask them to participate.

Remember you are a human being and you have to right of free will and to be treated with respect. Treat your physician with respect, but trust you inner voice that says WHY.
